Who we are

Vertalytics is a web design, hosting, aerial media and analytics business based in Nanaimo, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through vertalytics.com, why we collect it, and how we look after it.

What we collect

• Contact form: your name (optional), email address, message and the services you tick.
• Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
• Consult bookings: when you book through our Calendly scheduler, Calendly collects the details you enter (such as your name and email) and shares them with us.
• Technical information: when you send a form, our server records your IP address and the time, to block spam and abuse. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs.

How we use it

• To reply to your inquiry and provide the services you ask about.
• To send occasional newsletter emails, only if you subscribed. Every email tells you how to unsubscribe.
• To keep the website secure and protect our forms from spam.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Consent and unsubscribing

By sending a form or subscribing, you consent to us using your information as described here. You can withdraw consent at any time: to stop newsletter emails, reply "unsubscribe" to any email or email us, and we will remove you promptly.

Cookies and third-party services

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Some features are provided by other companies, which may receive your IP address or set their own cookies under their own privacy policies:

• Calendly, for booking consults.
• Google Fonts, for the typefaces on this site.
• Hostinger, which hosts this website and some of its images.
• Instagram, if you follow a link to our profile.

Where your information is stored

Form submissions are emailed to our business inbox and kept in a private log on our hosting server that is not publicly accessible. Our service providers may store information on servers outside British Columbia or Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of those places.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for as long as we need them to respond, provide our services and keep reasonable business records. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal requirements to keep it. We handle personal information in line with applicable Canadian privacy law, including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date below.
